Head of government Akhannouch tests positive for Covid-19

Head of government Aziz Akhannouch has tested positive for Covid-19, government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas announced.

The spokesperson added that Akhannouch has been isolated at home on the weekend, noting that his health condition is stable.

The government official further stated that Akhannouch will not attend the monthly session, which is set to be held in the second parliamentary chamber, tomorrow, Tuesday, and will be centered on social dialogue.

The Head of government is following the Covid-19 treatment protocol, stressing that his health condition does not cause concern.

“Akhannouch will continue to chair several meetings via videoconferencing applications and will resume work in-person after his full recovery,” according to the same source.
