Tangier to host international symposium on role of AI in medicine
An international and multidisciplinary symposium on artificial intelligence and health will be held on February 25 at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Tangier.
According to statement from the organizers, this event is organized by the Collective of Associations for the Development of the Oriental in Europe (CADOriental Europe) and the Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation and the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME).
In its second edition tackling the involvement of Moroccan scientific and medical expertise in the development of the health sector in Morocco, this symposium is a concrete expression of the dynamism of the national health project carried out under HM King Mohammed VI’s high instructions.
In a participatory approach, this event aims to open and consultation with the various socio-economic actors and their involvement in the efforts undertaken at this level, in addition to capture the participation of Moroccan medical skills abroad, with expertise in several areas, with a real desire to contribute to the development of the sector in their homeland.
The statement notes that the choice of this theme is explained by the centrality of health in the major concerns of policy makers around the world, and in particular in Morocco in the era of the pandemic of COVID-19.
This meeting will provide a unique opportunity for various stakeholders to exchange knowledge, ideas and best practices around scientific research and health, focusing on innovative multidisciplinary approaches, the same source further indicates. Organized around three round tables, this symposium aims to take stock of scientific research and progress made to date, promote the exchange of practices, identify challenges and opportunities to be seized for the development of the health sector in Morocco.
