UCI: Morocco Ranked 30th Worlwide, 3rd in Africa
The Moroccan cycling team is ranked 30th in the world and 3rd in Africa, according to the latest ranking of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
With 1308 points, the national team has climbed one spot and is now ranked 30th in the world, according to the UCI ranking published on March 28, the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC) said in a statement.
The world ranking is dominated by Belgium with 19026.59 points, followed by France (12153.14 pts) and Spain (11,507.64 pts), said the same source.
At the continental level, Eritrea took the 17th place in the world and the first in Africa (3135.64 points), ahead of South Africa, 2nd in Africa and 25th worldwide (2090.57 points).
Three Moroccan cyclists are in the African Top 10 (UCI-Africa Tour), namely Achraf Ed-Doghmi (5th), Adil El Arbaoui (9th) and Youssef Bdadou (10th).
