The United Kingdom is the guest of honor of this edition 2023, which marks the return of this great international meeting of agriculture after three years of stoppage due to the crisis related to Covid-19.
Speaking on this occasion, Sadiki told the press that this edition focuses on an extremely important topic that is food sovereignty and sustainability, as part of the implementation of the strategy « Generation-Green » launched by HM the King.
He noted that this agricultural event brings together 1,400 exhibitors from 68 countries, with 28 delegations led by ministers of agriculture who will participate in various conferences, including a high-level conference on food sovereignty in Morocco, Africa, the Mediterranean and internationally, and will see the participation of several political figures, policy makers and national and international experts, as well as scientists and industry professionals.
This 15th edition will also be marked by the holding of a high-level ministerial meeting on the « AAA » initiative, launched by Morocco and adopted at the African continent level.
« We will also have an extremely important event of contractualization between the state and professionals through the signing of contracts programs around the channels of production, « said the minister, adding that 20 contracts programs will be signed with inter-professional federations.
The objective is to involve professionals in the governance of the sector and in the whole process of work, in order to achieve a stable balance of value chains, disrupted following the crisis of Covid and soaring prices internationally, said the minister.
