Le chef du gouvernement s’entretient avec le Premier ministre de la République de Cabo Verde

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch received, on Wednesday May 10, 2023 in Rabat, Jose Ulisses Correia E Silva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cabo Verde, who is on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a large delegation, in within the framework of the holding of the 2nd Joint Cooperation Commission in Rabat.

The two sides held talks focusing on ways to develop bilateral cooperation in different fields. 

During these talks, the two officials welcomed the privileged relations of friendship and cooperation which unite the two countries and which draw their strength from the feelings of mutual esteem and respect between HM King Mohammed VI and José Maria Pereira Neves , President of the Republic of Cabo Verde. 

The two parties also welcomed the holding of the 2nd Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries and the business forum that accompanied it, and which are likely to give a new dynamic to bilateral cooperation in the perspective of the raise to the level of strategic partnership, specifies a press release.

The Head of Government reiterated during these talks Morocco’s consideration for the clear and constant position of the Republic of Cabo Verde which supports the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and supports the autonomy plan presented by Morocco, as one and only credible and realistic solution to the artificial dispute around the southern provinces of the Kingdom. He also welcomed the smooth running of the diplomatic representations of the Republic of Cabo Verde in Rabat and in the city of Dakhla in the Moroccan Sahara. 

The two officials also spoke of the promising prospects opened up by the cooperation agreements signed in various fields, relating in particular to the protection and encouragement of investments, the strengthening of commercial dynamics, the development of energies, the promotion of housing, training and scientific research, as well as other cooperation programs in the economic, social and cultural fields, concludes the press release.
