Forbes: Adel El Fakir ranked among the top 20 world leaders in tourism

It is ranked 18th among the 100 Tourism and Travel Leaders for the Middle East and North Africa region. This recognition marks the first time that a Moroccan leader has reached such an advanced place in this prestigious ranking.
Adel El Fakir and his team at ONMT have been recognized for their exceptional work in promoting and marketing Morocco as a destination. This international consecration is largely due to the successful « Morocco, Land of Light » campaign. The Office has also been praised for the proliferation of strategic agreements with major airlines and global tour operators. In addition, the ONMT has carried out targeted and effective actions with Moroccan tourism professionals, in particular « light tours » in the world’s largest capitals, highlighting Morocco as a destination and its unique assets.
The ONMT, under the direction of Adel El Fakir, aims to continue on this upward path. With the « Light In Action 2026 » action plan, the Office intends to continue to promote the Moroccan tourist brand on a global scale and to raise the country among the best tourist destinations in the world, declared a press release from the ONMT.
