The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) proceeded, Wednesday, May 24, on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, to the arrest of 7 individuals active in the cities of Salé and Meknes, including two former detainees under the anti-terrorism law, for their alleged links with a criminal network specializing in forgery and use of forgery, fraud and usurpation of a function governed by law for the purposes to monopolize public funds, to practice the profession of doctor and dental surgeon without authorization or legal document and to undermine the health security of citizens.

The preliminary research carried out revealed that two suspects usurped, with the complicity of three dentists arrested in the context of this same case, the function of dentist and performed all the related operations in clinics in Salé, by submitting their victims to surgical interventions in flagrant violation of the laws governing the exercise of this profession, which has caused illnesses and serious complications for several of them, specifies the BCIJ in a press release.

The investigations also showed that the defendants were also involved in the falsification of several files relating to false hospitalization expenses, with the aim of recovering sums of money by defrauding health insurance companies and health funds. welfare and social security.

The individuals arrested were placed in police custody as part of the investigations carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to determine all the ramifications of this affair and to identify any other accomplices, concludes the same source.
