King Salman Cup (Group D): RCA Advances to Quarter-Finals with 1-0 Victory against Al Wahda of Emirates

Raja Athletic Club (RCA) achieved a 1-0 victory against the Emirati Club Al Wahda Thursday in Abha , Saudi Arabia, during the 3rd day’s game of group D in the 2023 King Salman Club Cup.

Zakaria El Ouardi scored the winning goal for the defending champions in the 26th minute. With this result, RCA secured the top position in Group D with a perfect record of three straight wins, accumulating 9 points and securing a place in the quarter-finals.

The Emirati club, for their part, occupy 2nd position with 6 points after their two victories over the other two teams in the group, Al Kuwait and the Algerian club CR Belouizdad.

CR Belouizdad and Kuwaiti side Al Kuwait played to a 1-1 draw at the Damaq Stadium, resulting in both teams earning a point each, which led to their elimination from the group stage.
