The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a weather alert for several provinces in Morocco, warning of severe thunderstorms, local hail, and gusty winds expected on Thursday.
According to the DGM’s orange-level vigilance alert, thunderstorms with rainfalls ranging from 25-35 millimeters are forecasted from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday. The affected provinces include Tinghir, Azilal, Sefrou, Midelt, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Zagora, Taourirt, and Ifrane.
Additionally, the province of Ouarzazate is expected to experience thunderstorms with 15-25 millimeters of rainfall.
