The holding of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Morocco reinforces the conviction that Africa is at the heart of any global economic debate, said European Investment Bank (EIB) president Werner Hoyer.
« Hosting this high-level gathering in Morocco, where all the heads of the world’s multilateral development banks meet » is also an opportunity to show that « Africa is a key partner in developing solutions to the global challenges we face », Hoyer told on the occasion of his participation in the Marrakech Meetings.
The Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund kicked off in Marrakech on Monday, with the participation of the world’s economic and financial elite to discuss major issues such as financing policies, economic growth and climate change.
