HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa Chairs Annual Diplomatic Charity Gala Dinner
HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa chaired, Wednesday in Rabat, the annual diplomatic charity Gala dinner, organized by the embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the Diplomatic Foundation.
Held under the High patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, this event, which brings together generous patrons of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, has become an annual tradition organized on the initiative of the diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat, in favor of disadvantaged populations with the participation of diplomats, businessmen and artists.
The diplomatic charity Gala aims to raise funds to contribute to the social action effort in Morocco through the financing of numerous projects, particularly in the areas of health, education and training of young girls.
Speaking on this occasion, UAE Ambassador in Rabat, Al-Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to HM King Mohammed VI, who kindly placed this event under His High Patronage, as well as to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her constant commitment to social and charitable initiatives.
The diplomat also praised the strong relations between the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, noting that the two countries maintain strong friendship and share mutual interests, under the wise and far-sighted leadership of HM King Mohammed VI and his brother HH Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al Nahyan.
He also expressed his pride in the unity and solidarity shown by the Moroccan people following the Al-Haouz earthquake, highlighting the significant and impressive efforts made by the Kingdom during this ordeal.
For his part, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, affirmed that this ongoing charitable action and this active social commitment are based on an approach founded on strengthening patriotism and solidarity values.
Underlining the interest shown by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa in charitable action, Habek said that the profits from this diplomatic charity Gala will be paid to associations which provide social services for Al-Haouz earthquake victims.
This event is a contribution to the outpouring of solidarity following the earthquake, he said, adding that this exceptional mobilization has become a model to follow in terms of mutual aid.
Subsequently, the 2023 Diplomatic Gala Shield was presented to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who posed for a souvenir photo with the organizing committee.
Upon her arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa reviewed a detachment of the Auxiliary Forces that made the honors, before being greeted by Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, Aawatif Hayar, UAE ambassador in Rabat, Al-Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi, President of the Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, President of the Municipal Council of Rabat, Asmaa Rhlalou, President of the Rabat Prefectural Council, Abdelaziz Drouich, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, and the members of the organizing committee.
