A Royal Navy fighting unit intercepted on Wednesday an inflatable boat, 55 km north of the Port of Tan-Tan, heading for the Canary Islands, carrying 53 candidates for irregular migration, including 47 sub-Saharans and 06 Moroccans, according to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The rescued individuals were given the necessary care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, the same source concluded.
