During these talks, Akhannouch, who expressed his satisfaction with the « distinguished » partnership between the two countries, also discussed with Meloni the current and future common challenges.
These discussions were also an opportunity for the Head of Government to examine with the President of the Italian Council of Ministers the means to build concrete and more effective partnerships in several areas, notably renewable energies.
For her part, Meloni hailed the « excellent » relations between the two countries, noting that Rome « needs partners and friends like Morocco in Africa, in order to support its new cooperation approach with the continent ».
In this context, the President of the Italian Council of Ministers expressed her satisfaction with Morocco’s role in the “Rome Process”, affirming that “despite the exceptional nature of relations between Rome and Rabat, Italy always seeks to do better, especially since between the two countries, there is a beautiful story to tell”.
This meeting was an opportunity for the Head of Government to invite Meloni to pay an official visit to Morocco.
In this regard, the President of the Italian Council of Ministers accepted the invitation for this official visit, coupled with a business forum.
The Head of Government represented HM King Mohammed VI at the “Italy-Africa: A bridge for common growth” Summit, which was held on January 28-29 in the Italian capital.
