Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held, on Thursday May 2 in Banjul in the Gambia, talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference, scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Banjul, focused on the excellent relations between Morocco and Mauritania, and on regional and international issues.
Bourita had previously held a series of talks with several of his counterparts taking part in the Islamic summit which opens this Saturday in the Gambian capital, in the presence of the heads of state and government of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The Minister held talks with the foreign ministers of Yemen, Niger, Gambia, Brunei, Gabon, Mali and Senegal.
