A Royal Navy coastguard assisted, on Thursday, 38km southwest of Tan-Tan, 38 would-be irregular migrants, including 36 Sub-Saharans and two Asians.
The said would-be migrants, who were aboard a makeshift boat, intended to reach the Canary Islands, according to a statement by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The rescued people received first aid before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, the same source concluded.
