These talks, attended by Ambassador of Switzerland to Morocco, Guillaume Scheurer, focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the parliamentary sphere, the House of Representatives said in a press release.
During this meeting, Nussbaumer expressed the Swiss National Council’s strong will to contribute to consolidating cooperatiion relations with Morocco, particularly in trade, scientific research, vocational training, renewable energies and migration, noting that political and economic relations have experienced great momentum since 2021, when the two countries signed their Joint Declaration.
Nussbaumer invited Talbi El Alami to pay a working visit to Switzerland to examine ways of promoting relations between the two legislative institutions and opening up new prospects for cooperation.
For his part, Talbi El Alami presented an overview of the institutional reforms and major projects launched in the Kingdom under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and explained to the Swiss delegation the specific features of advanced regionalization in line with the Moroccan Constitution.
He also reaffirmed the importance of consolidating collaboration between the two legislative institutions, through the exchange of expertise and experience in all areas of parliamentary action, notably in the field of participatory democracy.
