Mecca – The International Fairs and Museums of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, hosted by Rabat under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, have achieved their objectives, said, in Mecca on Wednesday, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), Mohammed Al-Issa.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of journalists representing Arab, Islamic and international news agencies, Al-Issa emphasized that this exhibition and museum, based in Medina and having chosen the city of Rabat as the first stop on their world tour, had aroused the admiration of a large public who had come in droves to discover the Prophet’s biography.

This exhibition, which highlights the Prophet’s biography through modern techniques in line with today’s society’s evolutions, aims to celebrate the values of peace and tolerance advocated by the Prophet, as well as to respond to extremist ideas based on fallacious interpretations, he explained.

In this respect, he stressed the particularity of this exhibition and museum, housed at the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat since November 2022.

Al-Issa also praised the progress made by the Islamic nation, stressing the need to further strengthen joint Islamic action. He called for optimal management of diversity and difference, at religious, doctrinal, ethnic and civilizational levels.

For his part, the President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Fahd Al Aqran, emphasized the ethical and cultural responsibility of the media in defending the causes of the Islamic nation, advocating for closer cooperation between the MWL and the Union of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) News Agencies in various fields.

The international fairs dedicated to « The Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization » at ICESCO headquarters in Rabat is now the first traveling version of the Medina-based Museums of the Prophet’s biography.

The exhibition, which is the culmination of a strategic partnership between ICESCO, the MWL and the Rabita Mohammadia of the Ulema, aims to highlight Islam’s message of justice, peace, mercy, tolerance, coexistence and moderation, based on the Holy Koran, the Sunnah of the Prophet and Islamic history.

It uses state of the art technology to give visitors a real-life experience of the Prophet’s biography, as well as of historical monuments and events.
