COVID-19: 11 New Cases (Weekly Bulletin)

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported 11 new COVID-19 cases in its weekly bulletin on Friday, with no new deaths recorded. Covering the period from June 29 to July 5, the bulletin notes that 24,924,873 people have received their first vaccine dose, 23,426,906 have received two doses, 6,889,647 have received three doses, and 61,572 have received the fourth dose.

The new weekly report brings the total number of infections to 1,279,367 since the first case was reported in Morocco in March 2020, with a weekly positivity rate of 3.4%. The total number of deaths remains at 16,307, with a general mortality rate of 1.3%, while active cases stand at 22.

The new infections were reported in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (6), Fès-Meknès (2), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2), and Casablanca-Settat (1).
