The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened lower on Wednesday, with its main index, the MASI, falling by 0.08% to 13,338.25 points.
The MASI.ESG, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, decreased by 0.08% to 970.82 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.04% to 1,078.7 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index that measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, rose by 0.42% to 1,211.84 points.
Among individual stocks, the biggest declines were seen in Cartier Saada (-9.03% to 29.11 DH), CIH (-2.61% to 370.00 DH), TotalEnergies Marketing Morocco (-2.09% to 1,360.00 DH), Aluminium du Maroc (-2% to 1,470.00 DH), and Stokvis Nord Afrique (-1.83% to 10.71 DH).
On the other hand, the biggest gains were recorded by Itissalat Al-Maghrib (+2.68% to 92.32 DH), Aradei Capital (+2.39% to 509.90 DH), Alliances (+2.33% to 247.85 DH), Attijariwafa Bank (+1.92% to 525.40 DH), and Ennakl (+1.51% to 33.00 DH).
On Tuesday, the MASI had closed with a loss of 0.07%.
