Heat Wave Alert: Extreme Temperatures Expected in Several Provinces

The National Meteorology Directorate (DGM) announced this Saturday an intense heat wave with temperatures ranging from 38°C to 47°C, from Saturday to Monday, in several provinces of the kingdom. The weather alert is at the « orange » vigilance level.

Temperatures between 43°C and 47°C are expected in the provinces of Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Aousserd.

Hot weather, with temperatures between 38°C and 43°C, is expected in the provinces of Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, Jerada, Boulemane, Azilal, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, Beni Mellal, Khenifra, Settat, Al Haouz, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Rehamna, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Ouarzazate, Midelt, Essaouira, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Taroudant, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, and Laayoune.
