The Olympic team led by Tarik Sektioui has intensified its preparations to face Argentina in the first group stage match of the Olympic Games, which will begin in France next week.

The national players’ closed training camp continues in the suburbs of Lyon, with two training sessions on Tuesday, attended by almost all players except Oussama El Azzouzi.

The Tuesday morning session, held in the gym, focused on improving endurance, while the afternoon session took place on the Procardière field to work on physical condition, with a particular emphasis on tactics.

The national team will compete in Group B with Argentina, Ukraine, and Iraq. The Atlas Lions will first face Argentina on July 24 at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne, then Ukraine on the 27th at the same stadium, before playing against Iraq on the 30th at Allianz Riviera in Nice.

Last week, Tarik Sektioui unveiled his roster for the Olympics, featuring three Moroccan internationals over 23 years old: Achraf Hakimi, Munir El Kajoui, and Soufiane Rahimi.

Morocco aims to achieve better results than in previous Olympics and honor the national colors. Since 1960, Morocco has won 24 Olympic medals, including 7 gold, 5 silver, and 12 bronze, mostly in athletics with 20 medals.
