Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Lower

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened on a negative note on Tuesday, with its main index, the MASI, dropping 0.04% to 13,603.37 points.

The MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, fell 0.09% to 1,104.73 points, while the MASI.ESG, the index of companies with the best ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, declined 0.07% to 987.37 points.

Conversely, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, rose 0.15% to 1,236.7 points.

Individually, the best performances were by Résidences Dar Saada (+4.93% to 85.99 DH), Douja Prom Addoha (+2.37% to 30.2 DH), Alliances (+1.16% to 262 DH), Eqdom (+0.91% to 1,100 DH), and Managem (+0.67% to 2,562 DH).

On the downside, Afric Industries (-1.56% to 310.1 DH), Aluminium du Maroc (-1.38% to 1,506 DH), Sodep-Marsa Maroc (-1.32% to 375 DH), Cartier Saada (-1.24% to 31 DH), and Auto Hall (-0.99% to 70 DH) recorded the biggest declines.

The previous day, the MASI had ended with a loss of 0.1%.
