Morocco’s U23 football team will face the USA on Friday in Paris in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games men’s tournament.
The U.S. team booked their place in the quarter-finals after a 3-0 thrashing against Guinea. The Americans finished second in Group A with 6 points, behind France that beat New Zealand 3-0 to top the group with 9 points.
The Moroccan team had booked their place in the quarter-finals following a convincing 3-0 victory over Iraq in Group B.
The Atlas Cubs’ goals were scored by Amir Richardson (19’), Sofiane Rahimi (28’) and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (36’).
Following this victory, Morocco topped their group with 6 points, ahead of Argentina that beat Ukraine 2-0.
Meanwhile, France will face Argentina in a quarter-final clash.
