The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading in the red on Thursday, with its main index, the MASI, slipping by 0.02% to 13,778.97 points.
Shortly after the opening, the MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, posted a modest increase of 0.08% to 1,119.56 points, while the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, decreased by 0.03% to 1,001.48 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index tracking the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, fell by 0.21% to 1,239.79 points.
On an individual basis, Cartier Saada (-7.95% to 27.56 MAD), CTM (-1.87% to 672.20 MAD), Jet Contractors (-1.62% to 600.10 MAD), Aradei Capital (-1.55% to 502 MAD), and Douja Prom Addoha (-1.36% to 29.64 MAD) saw the largest declines.
Conversely, the top performers were Réalisations Mécaniques (+9.99% to 368.95 MAD), Mutandis SCA (+1.82% to 268.80 MAD), Cosumar (+1.61% to 189 MAD), Stroc Industrie (+1.07% to 33.85 MAD), and Delta Holding (+0.97% to 52 MAD).
The day before, the MASI had closed with a decline of 0.18%.
