King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to Olympic athlete Soufiane El Bakkali, who won the gold medal in the 3,000 m steeplechase on Wednesday at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In this message, the Sovereign warmly congratulated Soufiane El Bakkali for his victory, which allowed Morocco to retain this title for the second consecutive time after the Tokyo 2020 edition.
The King praised the athlete’s sincere patriotism, as well as his determination and perseverance, which enabled him to win this prestigious Olympic medal. He expressed hope that this achievement would serve as an inspiration for Moroccan youth, encouraging them to follow this example and elevate Moroccan sports on the global stage in future international events.
In expressing his appreciation to the athlete, the King prayed for further success and assured him of his utmost support.
