
Kamel Maddouri woke up as head of government today, August 8th. His mandate must end in two months, when the Tunisians are called to the polls. Yesterday, he sealed his inauguration with a handshake at the Presidential Palace with the head of state, Kais Saied.
Before being appointed Minister of Social Affairs last May, Kamel Maddouri was President and CEO of the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) and, previously, President and CEO of the National Retirement and Social Security Fund (CNAM). CNRPS).
Born on January 25, 1974 in Tborsok, Maddouri holds a doctorate in community law and Maghreb-Europe relations and a master’s degree in legal sciences from the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis 2.
He graduated from the National School of Administration (ENA) and in 2015 from the National Defense Institute. He is also an international negotiator.
He was a member of the National Council for Social Dialogue and vice-president of the social protection subcommittee of the same Council, as well as a member of the boards of directors of several national institutions, the General Insurance Committee and the boards of administration of the three social funds.
He also taught at the National School of Administration and the Higher School of Internal Security Forces.
He is married and the father of three children.
