Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Lower

The Casablanca Stock Exchange started the week on a downward trend on Monday, with its main index, the MASI, declining by 0.05% to 13,785.68 points. Shortly after the opening, the MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, remained stable at 1,119.38 points, while the MASI.ESG, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, fell by 0.02% to 1,005.41 points.

In contrast, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, advanced by 0.2% to 1,236.10 points.

On an individual level, Lesieur Cristal saw a decrease of 3.94% to 268 DH, followed by Aradei Capital (-2.8% to 486 DH), Sonasid (-1.26% to 854.1 DH), Alliances (-1.13% to 245.6 DH), and Attijariwafa bank (-0.55% to 538 DH).

Conversely, the strongest gains were recorded by Delta Holding (+3.68% to 51.84 DH), Disty Technologies (+2.48% to 239.8 DH), Med Paper (+2.07% to 19.19 DH), Managem (+2.06% to 2,776 DH), and Résidences Dar Saada (+1.99% to 81.29 DH).

On Friday, the MASI had closed with a slight loss of 0.04%.
