The Casablanca Stock Exchange started trading on Tuesday nearly balanced, with its main index, the MASI, slightly down by 0.01% at 13,780.48 points. Shortly after the market opened, the MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, and the MASI.ESG, which comprises companies with the highest ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, fell by 0.07% to 1,118.56 points and 0.15% to 1,002.54 points, respectively.
Conversely, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index that measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, rose by 0.31% to 1,238.56 points. On Monday, the MASI had closed with a loss of 0.08%.
