Spanish statistics have revealed that the number of travelers between Spanish and Moroccan ports exceeded 1.5 million people from June 13 to August 6 of this year. According to the Spanish news agency « EFE, » this number represents a 6.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The maritime route connecting the port of Tanger Med with the port of Algeciras recorded the highest number of passengers, with nearly 600,000 people, while the remaining travelers were distributed among other maritime routes. The authorities responsible for managing the « Marhaba » operation in both Morocco and Spain expect that the total number of passengers this summer will surpass 2 million.
