The Casablanca Stock Exchange started trading on Friday with a decline, as its main index, the MASI, dropped by 0.42% to 13,815.10 points (pts).

Shortly after the opening, the MASI.20, which tracks the 20 most liquid stocks, and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the highest ESG ratings as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, were down by 0.23% to 1,122.68 pts and 0.48% to 1,004.06 pts, respectively.

Similarly, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index measuring the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, decreased by 0.06% to 1,247.20 pts.

The day before, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.38%.
