Napoli is currently in negotiations with Fiorentina for the transfer of Sofyan Amrabat, who recently left Manchester United after a loan spell. According to the Spanish press, Amrabat could leave Fiorentina in the final nine days of the transfer window, with Napoli emerging as an alternative to the Premier League, a destination the player strongly desires.

Fiorentina is looking to secure a sum of money, though not the 25 million euros that represented Manchester United’s purchase option last year. The expected amount is slightly lower, between 15 and 20 million euros. Amrabat’s contract runs until 2026, as Fiorentina had safeguarded themselves with an extension when he was loaned to the Red Devils.

Amrabat moved to Old Trafford after a successful 2022-23 campaign with Fiorentina and a standout performance with Morocco during the 2022 World Cup, where he reached the semi-finals. He concluded his loan at Manchester United impressively, delivering solid performances in his final games after overcoming adaptation issues and reservations from the staff led by Ten Hag. He participated in 30 matches across all competitions, starting in 17 of them.

The Atlas Lion particularly shone during the FA Cup final victory against Manchester City (2-1), a performance that, in the eyes of the fans, should have secured him a permanent spot in the team.
