It’s no secret that Azzedine Ounahi is not part of Olympique de Marseille’s future plans, and the club is looking for a suitable exit for him. Wydad Casablanca is eager to take advantage of this situation.

On Radio Mars, WAC president Hicham Ait Menna confirmed that he personally made an offer to OM and Medhi Benatia to sign Azzedine Ounahi. The question remains whether Ounahi, who has already turned down offers from the Middle East, would be interested in a new adventure in his homeland.

As a reminder, OM’s new coach, Roberto De Zerbi, has already informed Ounahi that he is not part of the plans for the upcoming season. Known as « Az, » Ounahi has struggled to find his form since joining the club from Angers in January 2023, despite his outstanding performances at the 2022 World Cup.

Ounahi has participated in 35 matches with Olympique de Marseille this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Although he is still under contract with the team until the summer of 2027, his chances of staying are slimmer than ever.
