The Turkish channel « NOW » has released promotional images for its new series « Find Me, » featuring renowned actors Murat Yıldırım and İbro Şahin. Some scenes from the first episode were filmed in Marrakech, the ochre city, and the series is set to air next September.
Turkish actor Murat Yıldırım, who is married to former Miss Morocco Imane El Bani, suggested to the production company that some scenes of the new series be shot in the ochre city, inspired by his admiration for its architecture and cultural uniqueness.
According to Turkish media, the first episode will include several events filmed in Marrakech. Murat Yıldırım, considered a leading star in the Turkish entertainment industry, has repeatedly expressed his admiration for Marrakech in interviews in Turkey. Recently, he described it as the best tourist destination during a scene in the highly popular series « The Organization, » which enjoys millions of viewers. He even responded to the protagonist’s suggestion of spending their honeymoon in France by affirming that Marrakech was better.
In the series « Find Me, » Murat Yıldırım plays the role of Demir Akşitar, the owner of an architecture firm, while İbro Şahin portrays Nazlı Koker, a single mother dedicated to raising her only son, Mimo.
The series « Find Me » is written by Nişe Şen, with a screenplay by Emre Özdoğan and Hazal Köze, directed by Reşat Karagöz, and produced by the company « TMC Film. »
Starting next September, Murat Yıldırım will compete in the Turkish drama scene, where 35 new series will be aired during the season.
It is noteworthy that in Turkey, series are broadcast with one episode per week, with filming taking place the same week as the airing. Series with high audience ratings continue to be aired, while those with low ratings are discontinued.
It is also worth mentioning that Murat Yıldırım celebrated his wedding to İman El Bani in 2017 at the Skhirat complex near Rabat, in a traditional Moroccan atmosphere.
The wedding ceremony was attended by the Turkish ambassador to Morocco, Adhem Burkan Aruz, as well as many Moroccan and Turkish celebrities, and about 200 guests. The Moroccan-style wedding served as a cultural showcase for the attendees.
