Friday Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms and Hail Expected in Several Moroccan Regions

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts for tomorrow, Friday, generally stormy weather with the formation of thunderstorm cells that may bring significant rain showers in the evening, along with hail, in the northeastern parts of the southern provinces, the Atlas regions, the southeast, and the southern part of the eastern region.

The skies will be partly cloudy to overcast at times, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the central inland plains. In the morning and at night, low clouds accompanied by fog will form along the northern and central coasts, as well as in the northwest of the southern provinces.

Elsewhere, the weather will remain relatively warm in the plains west of the High Atlas, in the interior of the Souss region, the Moulouya valley, and the far southeast of the country.

Moderately strong wind gusts are also expected in the eastern region, inside the Souss region, the southeast, the northeastern parts of the southern provinces, and along the central coasts.

Minimum temperatures will range between 9 and 16 degrees in the High and Middle Atlas mountains, the Rif, and the southern part of the eastern region, and between 24 and 30 degrees in the plains west of the Atlas, the interior of Souss, the Moulouya valley, the far southeast, and the northeast of the southern provinces. In the rest of the country, they will be between 17 and 23 degrees.

Daytime temperatures will rise slightly in the Moulouya valley, the southeast, and the northern parts of the southern provinces, while decreasing in other areas.

As for sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be calm, calm to slightly rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, rough between Casablanca and Cap Ghir, and slightly rough to rough along the rest of the coasts.
