The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced today, Friday, that one new COVID-19 case has been recorded, with no deaths, during the period from August 31 to September 6.
According to the ministry’s weekly COVID-19 report, 24,924,955 people have received their first vaccine dose, while 23,427,010 have received the second dose. Additionally, 6,889,740 people have received the third dose, and 61,581 individuals have been administered the fourth dose.
The total number of confirmed cases since the first reported infection on March 2, 2020, stands at 1,279,425. The weekly positivity rate is at 1.4%. The latest case was detected in the Casablanca-Settat region.
The total death toll remains at 16,309, with a fatality rate of 1.3%. Currently, there are only three active cases.
