The Casablanca Stock Exchange started Wednesday’s session on a slightly negative note, with its main index, the MASI, falling by 0.1% to 13,935.48 points. The MASI.20 index, which tracks the 20 most liquid stocks, dropped by 0.15% to 1,130.04 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which measures companies with top ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings as assessed by Moody’s ESG Solutions, decreased by 0.12% to 1,003.63 points. On the flip side, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which monitors the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, gained 0.19% to reach 1,313.15 points. In individual stocks, the biggest losers were Lesieur Cristal (-2.46% at 277 MAD), BCP (-1.64% at 300 MAD), and Alliances (-1.31% at 301 MAD). Conversely, the top performers were AtlantaSanad, rising 5.1% to 132 MAD, and Ib Maroc.com, up 3.65% to 38.87 MAD. The previous day, the MASI had closed with a 0.23% loss.
