The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed in the green on Friday, with its main index, the MASI, advancing by 0.82% to 13,998.92 points. The MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.8% to 1,132.88 points, while the MASI.ESG, tracking companies with top ESG ratings as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, rose 0.78% to 1,004.42 points. The MASI Mid and Small Cap, which measures small and medium-sized enterprises, increased by 0.5% to 1,330.01 points.
Internationally, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 grew by 0.35% to 13,114.38 points, and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid gained 0.81% to 11,750.84 points.
Sector-wise, the « Holding Companies » sector saw the largest increase (+8.23%), followed by « Construction & Building Materials » (+2.62%) and « Insurance » (+2.28%). The « Pharmaceutical Industry » registered the biggest drop (-2.7%).
Total trading volume reached 208.84 million dirhams, mainly driven by Attijariwafa Bank (40.03 million dirhams). The market capitalization surpassed 723.53 billion dirhams.
