The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened on Friday with a slight dip, as its benchmark index, the MASI, dropped by 0.04% to 13,879.63 points. The MASI.20, an index that tracks the 20 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.17% to 1,121.96 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG, which ranks companies based on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, decreased by 0.08% to 995.91 points.
On the positive side, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, saw a slight rise of 0.01% to reach 1,323.54 points.
Among the stocks, the largest declines were posted by Involys (-7.12% to 101.05 MAD), Réalisations Mécaniques (-4.98% to 475 MAD), BCP (-1.64% to 294.1 MAD), Jet Contractors (-1.06% to 841 MAD), and Auto Hall (-1.02% to 76.35 MAD). On the other hand, Taqa Morocco (+2.7% to 1,330 MAD), Immorente Invest (+2.09% to 93.95 MAD), TGCC (+1.17% to 375.95 MAD), Microdata (+0.8% to 630 MAD), and Sodep-Marsa Maroc (+0.75% to 402 MAD) showed the most significant gains. The previous day, the MASI had closed with a 0.3% loss.
