The juvenile division of the Marrakech judicial police opened an investigation, under the supervision of the public prosecutor, on Friday evening, September 13th, to determine the circumstances surrounding a threat of violence between a group of minors inside a cinema.
Preliminary findings suggest that some minors got into a misunderstanding due to overcrowding during the first screening of a movie. This misunderstanding escalated when one of the minors brandished a black metal toy, which posed a potential threat to the safety of the other minors.
The 15-year-old minor involved has been apprehended, and the metal toy, which opens in three directions, was confiscated as part of the investigation. No complaints of physical violence have been reported so far, but the mere display of the object caused a sense of fear among those present.
