The regional customs directorate of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, in collaboration with security services, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle 38 kilograms of cocaine into the national territory on Tuesday, at the Guerguerat border crossing, south of Dakhla.
According to a statement from the regional customs directorate, the operation was carried out during the inspection of a truck coming from abroad, using a scanner in the import area.
The seized drugs were hidden in a specially designed compartment inside the truck’s cabin.
