A Government Council meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.
According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office, the council will begin by discussing a draft law regulating the profession of judicial officers.
Following this, the council will review three draft decrees. The first relates to amending the decree regarding the official uniform of customs and indirect tax officers, including their distinctive badges and characteristics. The second pertains to the renewal of the license granted to « Médi Telecom S.A. » to establish and operate the second public mobile phone network (GSM). The third involves the renewal of the license granted to « Wana Corporate » to establish and operate a third public telecommunication network using second-generation cellular technology.
The statement also mentions that the council will continue its work by examining an agreement signed in Rome on March 27, 2024, between the governments of Morocco and Italy, regarding mutual recognition of driving licenses for exchange purposes, along with a bill approving the agreement. The session will conclude with the consideration of proposals for high-level appointments, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
After the government council concludes, a special meeting will be held to discuss several proposed laws.
