Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi has secured a spot in the team of the week for the sixth round of the Greek league, following his outstanding performance with Olympiakos in their 2-0 victory over Atromitos Athens last Sunday.
The platform « Sofascore », which specializes in player performance ratings, selected El Kaabi for their team of the week after his significant contribution to his club’s win.
Coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute, El Kaabi needed just five minutes to score Olympiakos’ second goal, further boosting his personal tally this season.
With this goal, El Kaabi now shares the top spot on the Greek league’s scoring chart with four goals, along with one assist in the six matches he’s played so far with Olympiakos this season.
It is worth noting that El Kaabi finished last season as the top scorer in the Greek Super League with 15 goals, earning him the title of the league’s best player.
