This Saturday, Belgium reiterated its commitment to the strategic partnership between the European Union and Morocco, emphasizing its dedication to continuing efforts to deepen this relationship.
In a statement shared on its (X) social media account, Belgium’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Development Cooperation reaffirmed the strong friendship and strategic cooperation between the EU and Morocco. This follows the European Court of Justice’s ruling on the fisheries and agriculture agreements between the two parties.
Moreover, Belgium expressed its support for the joint statement from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative Josep Borrell, reaffirming the EU’s commitment to preserving and enhancing its close relations with Morocco in all sectors, in line with the principle that “agreements must be honored.”
