Moroccan Film « The Hero » Presented in Casablanca

Last night, Friday, during a press conference in Casablanca, the Moroccan film The Hero, directed by Omar Lotfi and produced by world-renowned artist Nader Khayat, known as RedOne, was introduced ahead of its premiere in cinemas.

The film tells the story of an ambitious young man working with his mother in a mobile café, but he dreams of becoming a movie star. His dream seems within reach, but unexpected twists turn his aspirations into a nightmare as he becomes entangled with a dangerous gang.

The Hero marks Omar Lotfi’s directorial debut after achieving success as an actor. The film features a star-studded Moroccan cast including Aziz Dadas, Rafiq Boubker, Majdouline Idrissi, Farah El Fassi, and Fahd Benchamsi.

Lotfi expressed that The Hero, which will be released in national theaters in October, is his first experience as a director, and he hopes the Moroccan audience will appreciate it.

He also mentioned that working with Nader Khayat, whom he had long admired, was a dream come true. Collaborating with a globally recognized producer was a proud achievement for him.

Lotfi found the directing experience to be thrilling and enjoyable, with the film combining suspense and humor in a dramatic storyline.

Producer RedOne expressed his happiness working with Omar Lotfi, noting that this was his first film production in Morocco. He also revealed that he played a role in the film.

Regarding the soundtrack, RedOne collaborated on two songs with artists Naouman Bouaiach and Rim Fikri. He stated that the team is striving to bring this new project to a global audience and hinted at future cinematic collaborations with Lotfi.
