The management of Arjat 1 Local Prison has responded to reports published by a website claiming that the inmate (M.Z) suffered three heart attacks on Friday and over the weekend.
In a clarifying statement, the prison authority described these claims as false, noting that the inmate in question was seen by the medical service of the facility during the weekend as well as on Monday after reporting back pain. Appropriate medication was prescribed for his condition.
The statement further clarified that during both medical consultations, the inmate did not report any heart attack nor displayed any symptoms related to such episodes.
In light of the seriousness of these false allegations made by the concerned website, the prison administration has decided to file a complaint with the competent public prosecutor, as stated in the announcement.
