Casablanca-Settat Regional Council Approves 2025 Budget and Strengthens Partnerships

The Casablanca-Settat Regional Council approved its 2025 budget project this Monday in Mohammedia during its regular October session. Chaired by Regional Council President Abdelatif Maâzouz and with the presence of the region’s wali, Mohamed Mhidia, the session saw the adoption of the programming of the estimated surplus for 2025, adjustments to the council’s administrative structure, and authorization for the council’s office to modify certain agreement clauses, excluding those related to financial commitments.

In terms of employment, economic development, rural development, and tourism, the council approved an addendum to a framework agreement with the wilaya, the CDG Group, CDG INVEST, and the Regional Investment Center for the creation of a regional investment fund. A limited liability company will be set up for its management, accompanied by a shareholder agreement.

The council also approved the dissolution of the local development company Casablanca Patrimoine, and a framework agreement for the “CAMPUS TECH” project aimed at supporting tech start-ups in Nouaceur province, along with a partnership for youth employment through entrepreneurship.

Moreover, the council validated an agreement to support 30 young people in sports professions within the region and a project for promoting food products through the creation of a group of territorial communities.

Several other partnerships were also endorsed, including those for developing logistics zones, establishing youth centers, promoting tourism, and implementing projects in health, industry, and training sectors.
