National coach Walid Regragui has called up Raja Casablanca player Youssef Belamri to join the preparatory training camp of the national team ahead of the two matches scheduled for October 12 and 15 against the Central African Republic at the Honorary Complex in the city of Oujda, as part of the African qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025).
The Moroccan Royal Football Federation announced that Youssef Belamri’s call-up was to compensate for the absence of Noussair Mazraoui, who was unable to join the Atlas Lions after sustaining an injury yesterday while playing for his club, Manchester United.
The national coach had revealed the final squad list last Thursday, which includes 25 players selected for these two encounters.
The Moroccan team, already qualified for the tournament, is in Group B alongside Gabon, the Central African Republic, and Lesotho.
