The Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading on a downward trend this Friday. The main index « MASI » fell by 0.21%, settling at 14,072.77 points.
The « MASI.20 » index, which tracks the performance of 20 listed companies, dropped by 0.18% to 1,132.66 points, while the MASI.ESG, the index for companies with the best ESG ratings, decreased by 0.25% to 1,009.79 points.
Similarly, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the stock exchange, registered a decline of 0.07%, reaching 1,346.09 points.
At the individual stock level, the biggest declines were seen in « Cartier Dar Saada » (-5.31% at 34.26 dirhams), « Stokvis North Africa » (-5.25% at 14.61 dirhams), « IB Maroc.com » (-3.67% at 37.03 dirhams), « Sonasid » (-3.31% at 812.1 dirhams), and « Label Vie » (-2.31% at 4,392 dirhams).
On the other hand, the top gains were recorded by « SNEP » (+3.26% at 475 dirhams), « Involys » (+2.05% at 102 dirhams), « CTM » (+1.67% at 670.6 dirhams), « Marsamaroc » (+1.16% at 434.95 dirhams), and « Bank of Africa » (+1.05% at 192 dirhams).
The « MASI » index had concluded Thursday’s trading session with a loss of 0.33%.
