The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that strong thunderstorms (between 20 and 60 mm), accompanied by hail and locally strong wind gusts (between 70 and 85 km/h), are expected from Saturday to Monday across several regions of the Kingdom.
In an orange alert bulletin, the Directorate specified that these thunderstorms (20 to 40 mm) will affect, this Saturday, the provinces of Essaouira, Safi, Sidi Bennour, and El Jadida, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The same phenomenon (20 to 40 mm) will also affect, on Sunday, the regions of Tetouan, Tangier-Asilah, M’diq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Kenitra, Chefchaouen, and Ouezzane, from midnight to 10:00 AM.
The Directorate noted that these thunderstorms (30 to 50 mm) are also expected on Sunday, from noon to 11:00 PM, in the provinces of Kelaa des Sraghna, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Rhamna, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tata, and Assa-Zag.
On Monday, these storms (40 to 60 mm) will affect Tinghir, Midelt, Errachidia, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Tata, and Taroudant, from midnight to 11:00 PM.
Additionally, locally strong wind gusts (70 to 85 km/h) are expected on Monday in the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulemane, and Midelt, from midnight to 9:00 PM.
