A school bus carrying around 30 students overturned this morning, resulting in dozens of injuries and fainting cases in the Cherkaoua commune area, on a route between Ain Alilou and the road leading to Ouezzane, in the Meknes province.
According to a source among the students’ parents, the incident occurred before 8:30 AM while the bus was heading to schools. The bus veered off the road due to slipping caused by rainfall from the previous day in the region.
Local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie arrived at the scene, and several ambulances were dispatched to transport the injured to hospitals for necessary treatment. The incident caused significant panic among the parents, while a judicial investigation has been launched to determine the responsibilities.
